Postpartum doulas assist families in the first few months after the birth of their new baby.
Service Description
Included in my postpartum services are... Infant Specialist/Baby Nurse: Document the babies natural sleep and wake habits. Establishing a nurturing enviorment during the newborns wake hours. * Changing Diapers * Night Feedings * Bathing the newborn/infant * Umbilical Cord and circumcision care Mother Pampering: Massages for aching shoulders or feet, preparing healthy snacks, making sure mom has time to shower and rest Newborn Care Instructions: Helping parents identify infant cues, information on sleep, breastfeeding support and instruction, lessons on diapering, bathing, soothing, swaddling and more Partner support: Helping your partner learn how to care for the baby and understand their new role Sibling support: Helping siblings adjust to life with a new baby Postpartum Mood Disorder Information: Making sure parents are aware of signs of postpartum depression, giving referrals to counseling if needed Household support: Light meal prep and baby laundry
